One Dead in Mormon Church Shooting 

Police are investigating a deadly shooting at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fallon, Nevada on Sunday afternoon. At least one person was killed and one wounded
According to city authorities, a 48-year-old local resident came to the church, where at that time about 50 people gathered and opened fire, Fox News reported.

The suspect whom a local TV station identified as John K. O’Connor, 48, is a member of the church. He is taken into in custody and is awaiting charges.

A spokesperson for the Mormon church expressed love and condolences to the congregation. “Our prayers are for the victims and their families. Local leaders are ministering to them at this time,” the church said.

Later, the suspect agreed to surrender to the police after the law enforcement officers called. His motives are not yet known.
