Victim Injured After Dispute Ends in Gunfire

Milwaukee Police are investigating a shooting that happened around 1:45 a.m. on May 6 in the 1200 block of W. Cherry Street.  The preliminary investigation revealed that a dispute between two groups led to gunfire and the victim, a 28-year-old woman, was shot at that time.  She is being treated for a non-life threatening gunshot injury and is expected to survive.  MPD continues to seek a suspect.
