One Killed, One Injured in May 5 South Side Motorcycle Crash

Milwaukee Police responded to a crash around 1:35 p.m. on May 5 in the 1200 block of S. 11th Street. A 30-year-old male was driving his motorcycle northbound on S. 11th Street. A 35-year-old female was driving her SUV and stopped at a stop sign facing westbound on W. Madison Street. The female proceeded from the stop sign and the motorcycle crashed into her vehicle. The motorcycle driver was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries. The motorcycle driver’s passenger, a 22-year-old female, suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The driver of the SUV was not injured, remained on scene, and is cooperating with investigation. Our preliminary investigation reveals the motorcycle may have been speeding at the time of the crash. Our investigation is ongoing.
