MPD’s Special Investigations Division Stops Attempted Armed Robbery

On June 24, 2018 members of MPD’s Special Investigations Division observed a stolen vehicle at a local McDonald’s. Two of the vehicle’s passengers were seen wrapping t-shirts around their faces as a mask. The suspects exited the vehicle and entered the McDonald’s.

Two of the suspects fled the scene and were quickly apprehended. A handgun and additional cartridges were recovered. Through investigating, it was found that one of the suspects had thrown the stolen vehicle keys into a nearby garbage can before being arrested outside of the business. The last suspect was arrested inside the store’s bathroom.
