MPD Investigating April 16 Fatal Shooting/Crash on North Side

Milwaukee Police are investigating a fatal shooting which happened in the 2400 block of W. Monroe Avenue around 2:15 p.m. on April 16 and subsequent motor vehicle accident which occurred at N. Sherman Boulevard and W. Burleigh Street.

A30-year-old man was seated inside of a vehicle happened in the 2400 block of W. Monroe Avenue when he was shot. The victim was picked up by other subjects who proceeded to take the victim the hospital. While en route, they were involved in a crash at N. Sherman Boulevard and W. Burleigh Street.

At this location, the Milwaukee Fire Department responded and performed life saving measures on the shooting victim, but they were unsuccessful. An additional subject in the vehicle with the victim was transported to the hospital with an injury sustained in the accident. An additional subject injured in the accident also was taken to the hospital.
