Man Rescued From Milwaukee River in Downtown

Around 12:45 a.m. on April 8, a 49-year-old man was walking along the Riverwalk, just north of W. Wisconsin Ave, when he lost his balance and fell into the river. Milwaukee Police officers quickly located the subject and tossed him a floating life tube.  Milwaukee Fire Department Rescue Divers quickly arrived on the scene, donned their wet suits and entered the water within minutes of the call. The subject was secured by MFD until a ladder could be used to pull him to safety. He was then conveyed to a local hospital for treatment and was listed in good condition.
