Gunfire Exchanged Between Suspect, Officers on North Side

Milwaukee Police are conducting a reckless endangerment of safety investigation that happened in the 2400 block of N. 36th Street around 12:50 p.m. on May 20. Milwaukee Police were in pursuit of a reckless vehicle, when the driver of the vehicle exited, fled on foot and discharged a firearm at officers. A police officer returned fire and afterwards took the adult male suspect into custody. Neither officer or suspect were wounded. This is an ongoing investigation.
