Teamwork between the community and Milwaukee Police Department led to officers taking guns and drugs off the streets. District Two Officers Matthew Tracy, Julian Nunez, and Taylor Schmitz responded to the 1300 block of W. Greenfield Avenue recently for a Subject with a Gun complaint. A witness had called police after a male subject had pulled a gun out during an argument. When officers arrived, witnesses pointed to the subject’s car that was still on scene and officers smelled marijuana coming from it. The occupants of the car exited the car and were taken into custody. The occupants included the driver, a 19-year-old man, and two passengers, a 16-year-old male and a 19-year-old man. In the car, officers found more than 855 grams of marijuana and three guns, one of which was stolen. Charges have been filed against the two adults, Rogelio M. Fleming (Milwaukee County Case Number 2018CF001800) and Marcus U. Juarez (Milwaukee County Case Number 2018CF001849). The collaboration between the witnesses and the responding officers helped take guns and a sizable amount of drugs off the street. Good work by all involved!
