Hunt safely from an elevated stand with help from instructors at Horicon Marsh

HORICON, Wis. – Join hunter safety instructors in Horicon April 28 for a refresher course on hunting safely from an elevated stand.

One in three hunters will fall from a stand or tree, and hunters are more likely to be seriously injured from a fall than from a firearm or other hunting equipment. This hands-on workshop will provide harnesses and the opportunity to safely practice climbing into a stand with guidance from professional instructors. Pre-registration for this course is required at www.horiconmarsh.org/events [EXIT DNR].

This event is free of charge and open to participants of all ages. Participants are welcome to choose from the 9-11 a.m. course or the 1-3 p.m. course. For more information, call 920-387-7893 or e-mail [email protected]
