Trump on N. Korea: it would be war if not for me

President Donald Trump said that thanks to him, the war between the United States and North Korea did not begin, and that he is fully content about the progress in further disarmament talks.

“Many good conversations with North Korea – it is going well! In the meantime, no Rocket Launches or Nuclear Testing in 8 months. All of Asia is thrilled. Only the Opposition Party, which includes the Fake News, is complaining. If not for me, we would now be at War with North Korea!” the president wrote on Twitter on Tuesday.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is heading to Pyongyang this week to negotiate on an in-depth plan of North Korean disarmament.

The DPRK has so far avoided committing to a timetable or specific steps to get rid of its arsenal of as many as 60 atomic bombs and a range of missiles.

On the opposite, experts and media have reported North Korean efforts to boost nuclear fuel production, build more missile launchers and expand a key rocket-engine manufacturing facility.

The White House and maintains that everything is going according to plan.
