LG Display ADS at Multi-Month Highs on Reports of Talks With Panasonic Over OLED TV Panels

American depository shares of LG Display Co (LPL) gain late Tuesday as reports say the company and Panasonic are in talks over OLED TV panel purchases.

Panasonic is reportedly in talks with LG Display about purchasing OLED TV panels sized 55-inch and above, according to a Chinese-language Sina News Taiwan.

The report said Sony (SNE) is showing interest in purchasing OLED TV panels from LG as well. The report did not state when either vendor would release OLED TVs, but that both are highly considering the technology as part of their new TV lineups.

ADS traded as high as $15.25 earlier in the U.S. session, marking the highest level since December 2012.
