Circumstances of N771XW accident still unknown

The Cessna 441 Conquest II has been crashed 22 Feb while en route MEARZ6 BVT from Indianapolis to Green Bay. The twin-turboprop belongs to Ponderosa Aviation. FAA Accident and Incident Notification database reports that the fatal crash took life of the pilot and one passenger. However there is other information available.

According to it one of the iconic dairy businessman of Wisconsin, John T. Pagel and his son in law, Steven Witcpalek, was on board of N771XW. The aircraft was piloted by Nathan Saari. Nobody survived on board. It seems that late John T. Pagel has owned the Ponderosa Aviation, as the name closely resembles his dairy business name – Pagel’s Ponderosa Dairy LLC.  It is still unknown if other passengers were present on board of N771XW.

Aircraft took off the KEYE (Indianapolis, IN) and was en route to GRB (Green Bay, WI). It crashed 22:24:00Z (about 7.30pm local time) about 60 miles of Indianapolis, according to FAA and Indiana State Police. The data shown at Flight Track Log is controversial and it’s accuracy is unknown. FAA and NTSB are investigating the incident. As for now FAA site states that «aircraft crashed under unknown circumstances».
